What a great start to what promises to be an interesting series.
The storyline was a bit unexpected but all so alluring. Gabby and Jason have an instant attraction (yeah, no rolling your eyes! It's has a great twist to it.) They meet when the car she's in hits Jason's trailer. From this point on the author gives us a sweet building of a romance between her main characters.

But of course there needs to be a twist or its just all about the sex. When all is revealed it will pull at your heartstrings and more. You secretly pray that all will be okay. But there is so much more going on behind the scenes to build this story up that you can only read until your eyes are so heavy you fall asleep with your kindle in hand and your glasses on your face (yeah...that's what happened to me). I loved everything about this book that I instantly went on amazon to get "Beyond Doubt", the second book in this series. We were left with a steep cliff hanger and my ticker can't wait to see what happens. So, on to the next book with a smile on my face knowing that I have encouraged others to give this book a read

I started with Beyond Control and fell in love with the characters so I quickly read the rest of the series. I really enjoyed these novels and will seek out more from this author. My only bit of feedback, which might not be relevant to other readers who read the series at a slower pace, is that the characters and their language began to blend together. They began to feel like the same characters, in their words and thoughts. That said, this was not enough to deter me from continuing the series and I even wish there were more. I would really enjoy reading more about these charming characters and their life/family experiences.
This is a beautiful heartwarming love story, Jason and Gabby are perfect, and you will fall in love with them, and all the other characters. Jason builds motorcycles, and lost his fiance to a car accident, and he has really never gotten over her. When he sees Gabby for the first time, when her Limo runs into the back of his trailer, he can't seem to get her out of his mind., and Gabby can't seem to forget about him either. The ending blew my mind, tears were running down my face, and i got goose bumps, when she found out about her heart, I can honestly say I didn't see that one coming. My heart was breaking for both of them, such an emotional thing to have to deal with. Loved Brandy such a sweet, and caring best friend, Loved the bond between her and her brother Aaron, even after being apart for so many years, they still loved each other so much. I'll miss Gabby, and Jason they melted my heart. Looking forward to book 2 Beyond Doubt(Brandy and Aaron story). Don't miss out on this one.
I find it interesting that there are more negative comments about whether this is a cliffhanger than the too easily resolved issues throughout the book. The H and h in this novel have a HEA. The extra bit is a lead in about secondary characters for the second novel. This is not a traditional cliffhanger where the relationship of the leading characters is not resolved.

I like Ms. Bolton's writing style. My quibble is with the development of the characters. What does Jason see in Gabby? Why is he so smitten with this woman who is nothing but snarl to him at the start? The huge family dysfunction with her brother and father is interesting and then "poof!" resolved. The author gives enough clues so there is little surprise about Gabby's link to Jason, but both their behavior at the end was disappointing.

Although the characters are in their 20's, this novel has a y.a. vibe --drama, immature behavior and 'wanting to please Daddy' issues.
Even though Gabriele (Gabby) comes from a very wealthy family, she hasn't really had an easy life. Her mom died of cancer when she was just twelve after a long hard battle. One that she went through with her older brother Aaron by her side every step of the way. He was her best friend and the one person that she knew that she could always count on but when she lost her mom, she also lost Aaron. He disappeared right after her mom's funeral without a good bye spoken or even a letter to explain why. For years she prayed that he would come back, call or write but never a word, even when she was having to deal some major issues and needed him most. She's moved on now though and started working at her father's company, at only 22 years old, she's running one of the divisions and profits are up, things are looking good for her even if she has sworn off men.

Jason lost his one true love in a tragic accident and has had a really hard time moving on but with one look at Gabby, all that seems to have changed. Things are looking up for him, his shop is doing great, he has plenty of money to do what he loves most and with persistence he finds love once again.

The story portion of this book was good but the writing drove me somewhat crazy, it was too descriptive and boring at times. I hate it when the authors give you a precise play by play for each and everything that the character does. Do we really need to know every step that they take from getting undressed and getting into the shower unless it has something to do with the story at hand? If someone is undressing them then I'm all for that but not when they are getting undressed themselves... just saying.

As for the plot itself though, it was good but you could tell where it was going from the moment that you find out what her health issue was and what happened when Jason lost his girlfriend. I had a hard time rating the book because I didn't feel that it was truly worth 4 stars because of the boring parts and the writing but the overall plot was good so it deserved more than 3.

This story does end a HUGE cliffhanger so just beware going in that if you want to find out what happens your already committing yourself to another book. I hate giving up and the reviews look to be better for Beyond Doubt so I've already bought it and will read it next.
