If you want an in-depth study on any book of the bible, this series is a fantastic option! So many bible studies geared toward women are based on emotion, and tend to stay on the surface of things. This series is great for really getting deep into the book as a whole and looking at things intellectually from a new perspective. I feel like I have a much better understanding of the book of Acts, especially from a historical standpoint. Highly recommend.

The Navigators Bible study guides are the best on the market. I have used at least a half a dozen of them. Does a great job at helping you examine and understand God's word. Other study guides simply do not compare. I STRONGLY recommend the Navigators series guides!
This series provides an opportunity for reflection on the reading material as well as cross-referencing other scriptures to explicate
the verses for a deeper understanding.

I used this Bible Study material while I served as a chaplain in Afghanistan. In fact, we only finished about half of the book before I needed to redeploy and the remaining attendees begged me to find a new teacher so they could finish the study.

What they really liked was the "fill in the blank" format, but even more, the questions asked one to think and gave lots of room for a person to respond. This is true of the LifeChange curriculum and of course studying a book like "Acts" is so exciting. Taking a look at the early church is so interesting. The author/editors did a great job of topically catagorizing the chapters. It was, for the most part, chronological BUT when it made sense to study sections from several chapters in Acts that had the same theme, it was presented that way. As a long-time Bible Study teacher, the material provided insight that I had not thought of before.

The content is typical for the Life Change series and very adequate for good group Bible study. The version is very awkward to use however. The additional questions and optional studies in the margins do not format well and are not consistent with the print version.
These are super bible study books. I am slowly ordering 2 a month and building a great study library. They give each scripture and under each one they give you a commentary on that scripture. Gives you a better understanding of what that scripture meant. They are well done and makes reading the bible more like reading a novel and more understandable. When I'm studying I use several commentaries so you don't get just one persons view.
The LifeChange study series continues a great tradition of excellence in study design and detail. The now familiar pattern in this NavPress product also gives great contextual insight, highly pertinent comparative and contrasting scripture references, and wonderfully picturesque language origin information. As such a foundational book, Acts seems critical to understanding Christianity. Our Bible study group crackles with spirit-inspired insights and joy as we go through the study guide. We most highly recommend this study guide.
